OUR STORY

Littlefoot was born out of a passion to produce exceptional coffee grown by exceptional people. Each of our roasts highlights the hard work and art that goes into every cup and our rotating menu of seasonal coffees keeps things fresh and new throughout the year.

Our adventure started in Chicago in 2017, and as native Michiganders it was our ultimate goal to bring Littlefoot to our home state. We made our way back the following year, and we consider it an honor to help fuel the people who make Michigan a truly special place to live.

ROSIE QUASARANO, head of marketing & sales

Rosie has owned and operated Cup & Spoon, a successful coffee shop in Chicago’s Humboldt park neighborhood for four years. Combining her love of coffee, years of barista experience, and a decade of advertising knowledge, she tirelessly works to perfect the product and service. Cup & Spoon serves some of the best coffee and food in Chicago, in a warm, friendly environment that makes everyone feel at home.

Why the name?

When sisters Rosie and Mary were younger they would lay side by side and each raise a leg into the air. Rosie would say, "Big foot" and Mary would reply with, "Little foot." These nicknames stood the test of time, and as a tribute to Mary (the third founder of the business), it only seemed fitting to name it Littlefoot.

Enter Alex Burbo.

Mary and Alex met while working at Intelligentsia and quickly became friends. When he caught wind of the dream of opening a roaster in Michigan he asked to sit down for a chat. Alex brings years of roasting experience, and since childhood has affectionately been called "Little" by his mom, Maggie. Littlefoot found its missing piece.

BIG THANKS

Littlefoot would be just a name if not for the brilliance of award-winning designer Ryan Hoelting. Thank you for bringing Littlefoot to life! From the front to the butt, you truly captured our essence.
